@@ionagemanyou need to practice your instrument, NOT songs. I don't know why the hell anyone would practice/learn Bruno Mars. Learn the language of music, that way you can play anything. Don't be one of those people that try to play many styles, because despite how good you think you might sound, to the people who do that style natively, you're a joke. Lastly, refrain from telling other musicians that your are playing "Bruno Mars", your respect meter will suffer. Or any modern day pop music. It's all garbage and lacks any degree of musicianship. Learn the instrument & learn the language of music.

This isn’t “jazz”, it’s Big Band. They’re students doing a tightly rehearsed recital, because that’s how you learn an instrument and get proficient with it.

I know that feeling all too recently. Had to play “love of my life” on acoustic for a friend of mine’s wedding. When I practiced I’d make so many little mistakes like dead notes or playing the wrong progression that I was sure I’d made a gigantic mistake accepting the gig. When they announced me to play during the wedding, I almost threw up but when I started to play and noticed I was hitting every note perfectly, I almost cried with happiness!
