Hi! I went to an American school as a kid so I learnt it at the same time as my native language. But that's not to say you can't get to native fluency as an adult, the key is to practice a lot and try to get a tutor who can correct you and give you feedback. Read lots of books/novels in English, watch TV shows, and speak in English as much as possible! :)

Hi, can you please clarify something? I saw the MSt in English (1700-1830) course at Oxford has 72 places but they received 60 applications. Does it mean that the program has a very high acceptance rate since it has more seats than applications? Thank you!

There can't be that many places on a Masters course so I checked their webpage and this is the figure for all combined English period courses. But the 60 number will be the number of applications for this course.

Thank you so much! I just visited the Oxford’s website and looked at all different Mst courses in English. Each Mst course has a different number for places labeled as “C”. So not sure if I am mistaken.
