Make time for each other and give space to each other. I’ve seen people get married and then get divorced half a year later. Things have got a bit sour since the day the girl’s mother was diagnosed with a disease. It’s really hard to patch things up. My parents didn’t get on well at all.

I had a long distance relationship, we were together for almost three years, It started by a lot of energy and love and ful of patient, but by the time we had a whirlwind romance and we've taken things for granted, and of course we started fighting all the time, he was cheating on me all over the place, and he didn't seem serious about our relationship, so I've neglected him until we've broken up. Since that I'm so carful about dating somebody because I have a lot of baggage from my previous relationship, and I don't want to repeat the same mistakes over and over again with another person. Why did you use PPC and then past simple in the sentence "They've been living apart for ages and they finally got divorced last year" if the action "live apart" ended before the action "get divorce"? Why didn't you use: they had been living apart? I didn't get it.
