Great to see this setup, but I was too weirded out by the slow shutter. Seems like you have a shutter of about Make sure you set the shutter to ideally 1/25, 1/50 (it could be higher) if you’re in PAL county and 1/30, 1/60 or higher if NTSC.

Thanks for creating material about the Oxi. Your video is severely choppy for some reason. It feels like three frames per second or something and if you move your hand, I can see a shadow image of your hand move across the screen.

I'm torn on the OXI. On the one hand, the ability to see 8 tracks of steps is awesome but I've not yet uncovered what other improvements over Elektron workflow there is. I admit the GAS for this device is compelling! 😅

Electron’s primary strength is their sequencer. I didn’t see you do anything you can’t do on the Digitakt sequencer better or quicker. 128 steps might be the only thing that’s easier instead of setting probability/condition locks. Also confused why you didn’t map track 1-8 from Digitakt to 1-8 on Oxi One. Seems easier to me to change the sample. I have a BeatStep Pro but never felt the need to use it with a Digitakt.

i agree that this video makes everything seem unnecessary and clunky. if you do it right (like your suggestion), it's a greatt way of visualising all the running sequences on the digitakt at the same time, which is how i use it. not for everyone, but i use both the oxi and the digitakts built-in sequencer for different scenarios.

this seems like the most complicated way to program a basic beat? any other device you could lay down that beat in 30 seconds, you feel this is easier?

Were you able to make it work with p-locks set on the digitakt but sequenced from the oxi?

Is it possible to use the fill mode with the oxi one ?

Electron fill mode can’t be externally triggered, but oxi one has a fill mode, activated by holding play down. It’s a setting and done as a trig condition just like on elektron devices.
