Oxidizing Copper Imitation- Painting Technique For 3D Prints

Turn your monochromatic plastic 3D prints into impressive imitations of metalwork! To replicate this copper oxidization, use acrylic paints to paint a base layer of patina color. Use greens, blues, teal, and white to create the illusion of a grainy blotchy texture. Looks great, I think it would look better if you smooth out the model with acetone vapors or something similar, before painting. :)

Yes the layers were a little more obvious than I expected and it could have been neater. The Prusa I am using is capable of about 200% higher resolution I was just in a hurry.

Another way is to paint with copper first, then when dry use a water based green/blue thinned down well. Paint that on then wipe it off the high points.
