Thank you very much. I am teaching the introduction to materials engineering to B.S. Mechanical Engineers and our text touches on crystallography. I talk about the variation of Young's Modulus with crystal orientation in terms of vibratory HCF of single crystal turbine blades. Your example showing the effect of local crystal orientation is a great way to update my presentation to incorporate contemporary lab methods.
