1:02:07 I've personally always homebrewed that Intimidation can be either Strength or Charisma. Makes no sense that a Half Orc Barbarian with 20 Str is less intimidating than a Halfling Bard with 20 Chr 😂
@harmless68133 ай бұрын
That's not home-brewed. It's an official variant. The Player's Handbook even mentions Strength(Intimidation) as an example.
@davidchristie60033 ай бұрын
It kind of makes sense to me. Because if you can't convincingly deliver your threats, it becomes incredibly cringeworthy and not at all intimidating. Worth looking at awkward, uncharasmatic heavyweight boxers trying to trash talk for a good example. Wheras Muhammad Ali was a smaller heavyweight, but the guy had a plus 10 in charisma and that made him more intimidating to his opponents.
@harmless68133 ай бұрын
@@davidchristie6003 Let's say as a DM I'd buy that argument and I'd let you use charisma instead of strength when holding someone in a clinch. ^^
@davidchristie60033 ай бұрын
@@harmless6813Itd be pretty brazen but if you managed to persuade check someone into thinking they couldn't escape a clinch so they dont try that would be kinda cool. I mean in my boxing analogy if someone was able to get into their opponents head enough they can (and seemingly have sometimes) get them to alter their gameplans.

We finally nearly got death saving throws, but good on Willowfine for stabilizing Cressida. I'm really curious about the shadow bunnies/creatures. Johnny’s reaction at 16:04 is the exact same reaction my DM has whenever I do a ranger thing. The most underestimated class.
