Oxygen Not Included Gameplay Overview:
Oxygen Not Included is a space-colony simulation game. Manage your colonists and help them dig, build and maintain a subterranean asteroid base.
You'll need water, warmth, food, and oxygen to keep them alive, and even more than that to keep them happy.
ONI Gameplay plays a lot like RimWorld. Manage your Dups to live and survive through a alien planet. Dig for resources and build the best 2D colony simulator you can!

Over to the far right you have a large ready built polluted water tank. I suggest cracking into the top of it putting a water pump in and draining the water into a filter to then go to your fresh water reservoir and at the same time use it to pump toxic gas into. Also where your geyser is built a room to condense the steam into water. Loving this game. 👍

higher air pressure is actually a good thing most of the time. It forces bad air types into a compact area making hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and chlorine more manageable. My colony could basically ignore CO2 for over 100 days because it was all compacted in 1kg+ pressure in areas where the dupes do not frequent. Having lower pressure means that carbon would be filling the base. Also plants need high pressure air (not necessarily oxygen) to grow.

If you don't want a duplicant at the time, look for any good ones and keep them there without printing. If you don't see a good one, then by all means reject all.

Tip of the Day: Ladders help with vertical movement.

it might be easier and more efficient to tunnel all the clean water together into that vacuum below the lower left pocket of water before setting up your pump system. It will give you the chance to get a decent amount of materials and algae, as well as creating a reservoir

you should make a lip on each level so if a duo gets sick the contaminated water doesn't run down all the floors and into the clean water

@Blitzkriegsler Be careful when they will be diging the highest floor (on left) because there is a lot of water close to it, and the wall can easly break and water will flood the lower floors.

You should make a sewer system of 1 tall tunnels under your floors all leading off to the side where you can make a contaminated water septic tank eventually. Then put mesh for floors all over the place and offset the ugly of it with paintings. Stress doesn't matter then, they puke, it gives you water. Hell, skip the paintings since stress won't matter.

instead of condensing the co2 you could use the scrubbers to get rid of it, and turn the contaminated water to steam cleaning it, so you can use it for oxygen/hydrogen

Just pointing out that it does matter if you take the oxylite. If you dig the oxylite it loses approximately half of its mass and thus half the potential oxygen production. Dig a 100kg oxylite tile, it drops only 50kg to be carried away.

Apparently the Hatch produces Coal sometimes, so it's actually potentially useful. But they do eat your colonists sometimes so if you want to keep a hatch as a pet it has to be away from where the colonists sleep.

they havent eaten dupes in weeks that was a bug and they fixed it. the can make coal and mush root depending on what you let them eat.

i want you to do a room with 1 or 2 coal generators and full it with only big bateries because on last colony you only had 2 litle bateries and generator produced too much energy so 75% of it was wasted!

So, I've recently learned that algae terrariums suck when compared to algae deoxidizers. Terrariums may do a 1algae for 1 oxygen ratio, but they suck up a LOT of water. The only benefit is that they use carbon dioxide, but still they should be used sparingly. The deoxidizers may not do a 1/1ratio, but they at least don't suck up water for more important machines.

Btw Blitz u probaply already know electrolyzer gives hydrogen right? hydrogen flies up, so make it at the top side of your base, and then use electrolyzers for a long time and safe up hydrogen in that upper space (doesnt need to be closed off) and later put a hyrdrogen generator, then u get 2 times electricity (from electrolyzer and hydrogen generator!)

probably, I looked it up to check official sources including the cambridge dictionary. It's either AL-Jee or Al-g-ee (hard g). They are both correct. What's not correct in any source is Al-Jay. LOL so he can stop saying it and quit worrying about masses XD

It doesn't matter if you mine or not the Oxylite ore. It will still emit oxygen from the storage or on the floor. which is kinda good if you want oxygene somewhere specific (that's if you find any other)

IMO it's better to pop into the vacuum while you still have oxylite. It creates oxygen out of nothing, which is an easy way to pressurize and fill up those empty holes.
