This mod is the perfect representation of Omori. Nothing but a personal heartfelt goodbye and a duel between the two prime forms of Sunny’s mind, duking it out and giving their all. I absolutely love every single detail in both song and mod form, with every single detail forming the most perfect amounts of fun I’ve had in a game for some time. The constant changing of Whitespace to Redspace, Sunny’s eyes opening after his encounter with Mari and Omori’s final stand… The fact Omori kept dominion over the song up until Sunny decides to take matters into his own hands, the overpowering of the violin signaling the control of power being shifted… its all too beautiful. Honestly, the V.S. Omori mod is faithful, but feels all too much like it’s trying to be it’s own thing at times, turning Omori into some character that relinquishes in death and even gives him dialogue that paints him as someone completely horrible. Here, Omori is… Omori. Honestly, it’s difficult to portray him. He’s mysterious; he displays almost no emotion and serves as Sunny’s protector, but goes against his role the moment the truth is revealed. The mod perfectly demonstrates it isn’t just Omori being completely malicious or saying the words upright: it shows that Sunny’s mind still has doubts with Omori fighting for his self-hatred. The violin’s emotional screams along with Omori’s voice (how tf did you make it so perfect and the VOICELINES TOO MY GOD??) You did spectacularly. I might check out more of your work if I have the time. Honestly, this type of stuff is hella inspiring and I hope to become like you one day. Thank you so, so much for making this.

I like how this song shows Omori as a somewhat reactive force like they do in the game. He doesn't do anything about Sunny until he finds out the truth and since his job was to protect Sunny from the, he now resorts to destroying whatever is left of the truth, including Sunny.

I also like what you said about Vs. Omori. In that mod he's way more reliant on emotions, and while that does make sense since that's how the game's combat works, and he's at his stringest when he's the kost unstable, he's also at his purest form when he feels nothing, in his monochrome neutral form. He feels nothing towards Sunny or Basil, seeing the latter as replaceable, and protects Mari to prevent the world from falling apart. When Omori is telling Sunny about his flaws while fighting him, it's not his anger. He's just echoing Sunny's own thoughts that came from Black Space. When Sunny finally accepts the truth and plays the Duet, Omori isn't sad or angry and lengthen the fight. He just accepts it casually and lets himself become one with Sunny. It's also the same with the bad ending. He isn't happy that he won, he just believes he's doing his job and has to finish it from the source. I wish the vs. Omori dev team actually made his character like that instead of an unstable killing machine that sends everything to Black Space if it looks at him differently.

yeah the thing is thatr omori is basically a compilation of sunnys inner doubt guilt self hatred derealisation and is basically a coping mechanism hes kind of like sunnys subconsious too trying to keep sunnys psyche as stable as possible you know now when i think of it omori is kinda like a memetic entity compilation of thoughts feelings emotions and memories a mind mechanism with only one purpose: hide the truth

I think the 7/4 parts are in there to symbolize hope, peace, encouragement and love. Most of the 7/4 parts come just before Mari's piano solo, and you should know who Mari is at this point. 74 is an angel number that means what I listed about, though this might just be a stretch.
