Such a tragic life for a 16 year old. Being forced to become a hero and facing traumatic experiences. This guy literally accepted his fate knowing he’ll never see his family again and to only see the face of the krang beating him to death.

Also the fact that he had no way of telling how long he was in there. Theoretically, it could have felt like he was in there for a lot longer than let's say 20ish minutes, which would probably make it a lot worse. And that's just with the krang, let alone any other traumatic experience he's probably had so far

bro the way this fic had me hOOked for days reading it (while I was also very sleep deprived lol) and you just be out here making a masterpiece animatic of it???? one of the things I loved about the fic was how it like, changed formatting with the more leo's mental state deteriorated, having the random punctuation and walls of just blank spaces, and I think you somehow managed to convey a similar feeling in animatic format with how you drew the frames changing and shifting and the turtles becoming just their colors like how he sees them and his pupils subtly changing from normal to scratchy lines, and just wow, that's truly a feat but somehow you nailed it I will now go back and reread the whole fic once I stop watching this on repeat XD

ASDFGHJKL SO GOOD! the way you do their eyes like the shading adds depth And the way you drew other leo freaking dissipating really looked so good ! And ooooo that splash of colour when he see everyone as these coloured figures like he's not really there in the moment. Like you can see them hanging w leo and then mikey freaking out on the phone and his face scribbled and the colours inverted when he really starting to dissociate and have flashbacks. And it was like so sad when leo saying he doesn't forgive himself and imagines raph saying he doesn't forgive him, but he's still hopeful he will forgive himself. And then everyone becoming back to normal from coloured figures all just like worried and happy he's ok Like my heart ;-;

I already read another piece of fanfiction about leo not being able to sleep (It's called The Call Back Home It's pretty great I recommend it) so I didn't bother to read this one, and now I kinda regret it. I'm gonna go read it now. Amazing animatic!!! Edit: Read it. Done. OH MY GOD I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EAGER TO FINALLY GET TO THE GOOD ENDING IN A STORY, HOLY SHIT. AGHH, THAT WAS GOOD. I very much enjoyed the fic. I wasn’t able to sleep for almost three days straight, no matter what I did just a week or so before I read it, and it meant so much more knowing what sleep deprivation did to your mind and body. Obviously, I didn’t have to suffer like Leo did, but I am constantly thankful that I didn’t have to know either. Three days was terrifying enough, and I still have trouble sleeping even now. The song rhythm and the art you put to this fic worked so well. It was like I was reading it again. Which I think I’ll do right now 😅

Assuming this is the fic where Leo gets hit with something that makes him unable to sleep at all- I have been putting off reading it for ages, because it's so long and I never had time.
