I had always wondered how Oduduwa became the father of all Yoruba people.. But since it was generally accepted , I just reached a personal conclusion that Oduduwa must be a great warrior and at a point in time he conquered or subjugated most Yoruba people...Thank you Oloye for this wonderful piece of research.Your methodology will change perspectives and bring us closer to the truth than never before... And I can't wait to read a copy of your own version of "The History of Yoruba land"...

I commend your research Aare Laji Abbas. I am someone who love to explore the history and heritage of the Yoruba people. I have always said we need books to promote our cultural heritage. I read a book titled "Ibadan" back in school then, but it was not mine. I don't know if you can direct me to where I can get it (both Volume one and two). The book gave an expository insight and detail to some wars in Yoruba land including Ijaye war, the missionaries in Yoruba land (Jefferson Bowen inclusive) and others. Sadly I don't know the author. Thanks sir
