I love Oyster designs - great detailing. Good to see so many owners building in this size. I think this sector is where we will see lots of builds.

Beautiful boat! I still prefer the 565, regardless of price I just like the smaller (lol, she's still a massive sailboat!) version. Needless to say, I can't afford either of these fine vessels, but if I could afford it I would definitely go with Oyster!

It will be possible in VR within 80 years. And in real life within 200-300 years as robots, AI, and other technology make resource gathering and production cheaper and cheaper.

This is my dream yacht. I would love to sail around the world with two other couples and three/four crew. This boat could do it.

There are only two makes of yacht I’d own and an Oyster is one. The other would be a Nautor Swan. Stunning boats

0:20 LOL Dark wrap-around windows can only be an Oyster. Does Mr. Sheahan need glasses or an instructional video of how to use the Internets? From the close to his heart Gunfleet to the Taiwanese Hylas to... pretty much any custom brand have wrap-around windows.

Can the cockpit be protected in bad weather?
@oysteryachts5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Robert, the cockpit can of course be protected in bad weather. Every Oyster has a bimini and sprayhood but these tend to be down in when we photograph and film the yachts.

Lack of cockpit protection which would be a must for blue water sailing..

so you can switch depending on what tack you're on. Better visibility, less spray etc.

Hi again Oyster KZbin Staff, ...btw, around how much $ as a baseline, I need to have to give you in case of buying one basic 745 config? Thanks in advance by yr attention. Lz
@malthus101 Жыл бұрын
Oh.... so it CAN be sailed by a single owner?
@oysteryachts Жыл бұрын
Hello, the sailing controls can be accessed from the helm and therefore make short-handed sailing possible, but for Oysters above the 675 size, we recommend assistance from crew.

For how many days does this boat store water? If am at sea for whole year. How will that be? thanks
@brianpaul217 жыл бұрын
8wealthyone8 Boats this size might have around 1700-2000 litres of fresh water capacity or even more. However, it will also have a water maker that makes freshwater from seawater. So, you could potentially have water for showers and drinking indefinitely. You plan on being at sea for a year? Non-stop??

What, not a word about the Oyster's british gelcoat being shinier than the Frenchie Amel's or guido Grand Soleils? Not to mention it is 1.25 microns thicker! Shoot the traitor at dawn. Seriously though, it IS what Mr.Sheahan said it's not - a plug in the range. It sits JUST between the comically oversized Amel parody 675 (70 is the new 50) and the ridiculous 885 with its stupefying labirynth of walls and doors. It's a beautiful boat, I'll give you that, but it's little more. There is no revolution there. Mr.Sheahan can yap about "clean flush decks" for another 7 minutes but it won't change the fact that this is just... another boat. A well made (let's hope they learned how to glue keels to the hulls), decently joinered and leehman-brotherly expensive toy for boys who can still get it up at 70.
