Wow! The Elvis and Gandhi Mentalist sensation is amazing!

I have a project due in a day and was supposed to spend all weekend on it so I decided to watch Oz the Mentalist all day Saturday instead.

4:13 he is writing down what they are saying with his right thumb. Its very prevalent when he asks the girl who said “5” he looks at the paper like he almost messed it up. Then when the girl says “1” he moves his thumb in a straight line down and then shows the audience the number. Notice how it is also in the right corner of the paper. Then after he puts the writing thing in his pocket going to next trick.

That is the only conventional trick he tends to do, which is odd, because it's an old, hacky trick. I feel like he sets people up with that one to hit them with the crazy ones. Every half-ass magician knows how the first trick is done.

Flip the pages one way and it’s different words. Tells her to hold the book tightly then he grabs it back to demonstrate. He the. Flipped the book around so the opposite pages were showing. And they all said Batman. That’s why he was adamant that she select a page and choose if she wanted to change her choice, BEFORE she read the name on the page. Cuz every page said Batman. This trick doesn’t work if he can’t grab the book back from her.

Every time he touched Elvis with the paper, he also put his hands near gandhi's face. Did he have a small clear plastic sheet on his thumb? I can't see it, but otherwise why would his hand be near her face each time?
