You've got to get used to the boats out here! With everything being an island out here that's how the major transport is setup. It's completely safe though...and I can swim on the flip side...not sure how well in those waters though!! Sheesh!

Bhimji Sarwan Kumar Ok great! Ozamiz was super safe. As always, with ANY city you're in just use caution and common sense. I stayed at the Royal Garden hotel. Nice place and they have a cafe and restaurant at the bottom. You can book online or call ahead and see if they have availability. Make sure u ask for a room with a window. Also there are a few other hotels that are a little bit cheaper but at the Royal you'll be paying about 1200P per night. About $20 something. So not bad at all. Wifi is excellent too if you're in the right spot in the hotel.
