There seems to be no tougher loss than your little driving buddy. I lost my Rhodesian Ridgeback a couple of years ago to stomach cancer. He was truly my best friend. I am so sorry that you all sre going through this. Take some time for yourselves. I have a small farm and have lost a few animals over the years that meant the world to me and it never gets easier. Sometimes it seems like people expect you to act like it hurt yesterday but today its fine. Sometimes, we even do that to ourselves. Take the time to grieve and it's good to express the pain. It's not just a pet, just a dog or anything else. It's the loss of a true friend. I really will be praying for you all and hope to see you restored and joyful again in due time. You've been an inspiration to my family to get back out and enjoy the outdoors together, and it's really appreciated.

Thanks for being so vulnerable with this. I welled up a bit just watching you. We all know your pain. We've lost so many pets and it never gets any easier! Especially when we lose them so young, those hurt the most. You gave her the best life possible and were doing your best for her. It’s OK to say quartzite when you were driving through that area on the Arizona peach Trail. Lol. Having just lost our Golden, Daisy my heart goes out to you. I hurt with you. Sometimes you take them for granted. Sometimes they are overlooked. But when you look and they aren't there the pain is so real. I joked that daisy was always under my feet, trying to trip me. Many times I did stumble trying to get around her. Now I still look down to see where she is, but she isn't there. You go ahead and cry. I will cry with you. Remember them with fondness and love. They always love you back even more.

Wow , it sucks the life out of us when we loose our best companion ! I am fighting throat cancer & my little dog seems to know my situation & wont leave my side ... Human life realm isn't easy to navigate when so much can go side ways quick ... I haven't completed my little Samurai yet .. I want to drive it down the dirt trails ... It's got away to go before that can come true for me .. but I will fight the cancer & do what I can to get my dream vehicle road worthy so I can enjoy it to the max !
