OZETTE TRIANGLE TRAIL | Olympic National Park, WA | 2-Day Backpacking

Ozette Triangle Trail is located in Olympic National Park, Washington, USA.
It is an easy but rewarding hike and perfect for those who want to try backpacking. It offers beautiful forest and coastal views including the Ozette and Tskawahyah Island, Wedding Rock and petroglyphs, and breathtaking sunset.
We did this clockwise: Sand Point Trail to Sand Point Beach then Cape Alava campsite on Day 1; then Camp Alava trail back to the trailhead on Day 2.
Statistics:
Distance: 17 km (This is a bit longer as we explored to the Sand Point and had to do a detour on portion of the trail before the Wedding Rock due to bear sighting)
Elevation Gain: minimal

So very beautiful Grace. Washington state is a stunning place. The diversion looked tough - but probably not a good idea to wander past a mother bear with cubs!! Loved the swing! The forest trails are beautiful and I loved the skyscapes. Always love your treks Grace 👍

Cool to see mama bear and cubs, but be wear the mama is always protective. Are they brown bear? Or black bears with crescent moon on the chest? Oh, Thank you for educating me about wedding rock petroglyphs. I have seen those forms on the rocks, but never knew about it. Here you are, lovely 5:42 playful. Again, it is amazing that there are so many drifted woods on the beach everywhere. 6:31 I have seen some local artists made a walking sticks and left tons of them for visitors to use. I take my hat off for their hospitality! Hopping islands by kayak might be fun. 7:12 Gorgeous sunset. This wooden bridge looks new 7:57 and boardwalk is nice to be constructed.
