Sick tutorial, quick one for yah, when you're changing the note stamps in helpers, instead of clicking it F# then having to go back and change it from major to minor, just right click the note you want and it'll chose it and keep the window open for you

Hi mate me again. Really sorry to keep asking you shit. Ok we spoke about your 5th finding from G minor and it being D#/Eb . I was at the weekend speaking a concert pianist who plays for my towns orchestra .As your D#/Eb fifth of G minor was bugging me and I could not find anything online backing up your 5 step from the root explanation . All I kept coming across was D was the fifth of G minor. Your explanation makes sense counting 5 up from root on a piano , but is it correct in music an composing music and in music theory ? The answer , and all answers so far are, no its wrong .D#/Eb is not a fifth of G minor. This classically trained pianist told me the fifth of G minor is D , always has been D and always will be D in the world of music an composition . I explained how you said 5 step from root. He said that is not correct . D is the fifth of G minor . Bruv your vids are by far the best on you tube, your tunes are banging, but your theory seems to be a bit off. I am 52 and into my 4th year of learning music production online and your fifth theory has really been a curve ball and has melted my head for a week, trying to get it confirmed as wrong or right. To the point I went out my way to talk to concert pianist . D#/Eb is the 6th of G minor therefore D is the 5th of G minor. So who is right who is wrong mate? I just want to make music that is correct and wont be rejected or laughed at by the industry due to the wrong use of scales and 3rds/ 5th placements as it is standard music theory basics. I am not trying to call you out . I have spent many many many hours watching youtube vids on music production and theory to date and I think you are the best on you tube by miles for start to finish tutorials.. But this needs to be cleared up as you maybe teaching 1000's of people wrong information mate. Witch could be heart breaking to a lot of people down the road who might of got discovered and promoted ,but rejected because of it by a record company. Hope you get this Brother and clear this up for us all x Are you self taught or did you pay to go to university to be taught ?

You are confusing man. Read carefully please, I wrote D# is the 5th of G#. So with this logic D is the 5th of G. Just count usable keys. They always work. Yes, D is the 5th of G minor. We are talking the same thing. Also yeah, I graduated from conservatory, I'm a musicologist :D
