As an avid ap rakan enjoyer, your lani g strength is the fact that you can just not deal with lane if you don't want to. Having 3 dashes makes roaming and ganking really good, your passive and q makes existing in lane without dying incredibly easy. Keep an eye on your map and take some lost cs if you have the chance to help your team with something even in the slightest. Also you beat like, every assassin in mid lane except Leblanc

I’ve pretty much exclusively played AP Rakan mid for the past maybe 1.5 years. I love it - he has tons of utility and mobility and is fun. Yes, I have issues of my own I need to fix, but genuinely the biggest problem I have and the biggest reason I lose games, is because my team just gets so tilted because I picked AP Rakan. No matter how much people on my team feed, and no matter how little my opponent gets ahead, any time anyone is struggling ever, it’s apparently my fault.

Omg I remember someone saying ages ago that Rakan has pretty dang good ap ratios so if you’re able to control engages he can be an oppressive mid and I messed around a bit in arena and then forgot lol thank you for making a trying hard ish video about it Oh, now I remember why I never went back to AP Rakan because he’s the longest range Maile champion so I was messing around with things that are only like good for mainly because it would be open on range and using lethal tempo to give him a reasonable range and yeah, then I just kind of forgot about AP

Ap Rakan’s laning is easier if you go top lane but then his late game is less impactful. However, if you insist on going mid, then you can run fleet footwork shenanigans in hard matchups now that they patched him to be melee
