I'm always surprised at how much we all enjoy kiting when there is conflict by some. I really enjoy the Chrono's and R1's. I fly several brands both inflatable and foil mostly inland, gusty winds. Learning how all these perform is delightful and challenging. Kite management and performance changes with each type of kite. Conditions are always part of the puzzle to solve, snow and water for us (we're lucky to get easy access to both). These performance foils fly different and have a remarkable thrill unique by comparison. I'm glad Ozone put this video out.

Guys, just wanted to let you know that I had one of the best days in my life last Saturday when I was surfing with 15m Chrono r1 here in NZ. Thanks for the best kite ever!

First time out with new 12m Chrono, flew it on the beach only and did not venture into the water wind was 11 knots. The kite is made beautifully and with quality materials. Having watched the above video and self launched with probably not enough air in the kite the wing tips had folded in and so the kite was flying like a crab in the air, OK so move the bar side to side as in the video to fully inflate the tips, well this did not work at all no matter how much or how hard I tried. The only thing that did work to unfold the wing tips in this under inflated situation was to pull the break handle, this causes the canopy to arch more and allow the air to pass from the centre section over the kinked area where the tips are folded and then fill the tip section. I did allow the kite to over fly my position on the ground and it then folded back into it self leaving the right hand tip folded into the bridal I was not able to recover the tip in this situation and had to land it to resolve the problem.

I have a 18m chronos but no brake handle on bar. Is there a way to self land without bar brake handle?

Why it is not advised to keep kite over head at 12 o'clock?
@gb83276 жыл бұрын
bookeaterintube If you fly the kite low in the neutral zone on land, you cannot get lifted unexpectedly, which is the source of most serious kite accidents. Therefore much safer not to fly kite at 12 o clock. Also always safer to fly kite low on the water side, so if you do get dragged by a freak gust, it is only into water, not hard objects.

So you leave your bar in the kite, not good idea for washing, not all of us snow kite, cleaning in fresh water after every session is paramount.
@IJzzo8 ай бұрын
So you wash and dry your foil kite after every session? ;)

Kite not worth three thousand for a kite that you always have to adjust the speed system not made for the ocean all so the kite turns so fucking slow not so stable to ozone makes the best tube kites out there but fuck there foil line
