This video is related to ozonolysis of alkenes. In ozonolysis of an alkene, an alkene is allowed to react with ozone to produce ozonide which depending upon nature of next reagent different products. Reaction of ozonide with dimethyl sulfide or triphenylphosphine or zinc/acetic acid gives aldehyde and ketone. With aq. Hydrogen peroxide gives carboxylic acid and ketone and with sodium borohydride gives alcohols.
