I have one of these and they're excellent if you're going solo. Though I put an additional self-inflating mattress just to add extra comfort on the stretcher.

Yeah, an extra mattress makes a lot of difference, Hammer Rocks, and the Exped Megamat fits a treat! ~ Ben

Hi there, are these waterproof? Would it sustain a rainy day or storm? If not what can we do to waterproof it? And also the clips on the flyer that you showed us, is it to be clip tight? Or loosely?
@SnowysOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
It is waterproof, Teacoholic, but you need to make sure it is setup so the flysheet is taught and doesn't allow water to pool on top. I'd say it would be fine for a day of rain, but I certainly wouldn't want to be bunkered up inside for long periods of torrential rain. The clips around the base of the fly are not tight, they just secure the flysheet, it's the guyropes that will help keep the flysheet tight. ~ Ben

And how long would the material last for in nature for constant use

If you are talking about having it up as a permanent shelter, or something you are living out of, its really hard to say. If that is the kind of set up you are looking at I would strongly recommend you get a tarp to string up over the tent and your living area to give additional UV protection, as well as protection from falling debris from trees, and bird poo. These tents also don't come with a water head rating, so if you are expecting to be set up in poor weather, the tarp is an excellent idea for additional protection. ~ Lauren

Do they have a power port hole to run a lead to the tent if wanted
@SnowysOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Not on this shelter, Samuel, you'd have to run the power cord in through a door. ~ Ben

hi Ben can you remove the tent from the stretcher to use it as a normal stretcher inside my RV4 oztent
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the tent is attached to the stretcher, Malcolm. You could, however, unclip the inner, lay it flat on the stretcher and sleep on top of this. You would still have four poles sticking up (like a four poster stretcher!), but htere's no reason why you couldn't do this. ~ Ben
