This is one of the first songs my son learned on his guitar. He played by ear. He had a wonderful gift. Any instrument he could play. I lost him to a car accident in 2014. Today he would be 24 yrs old. He played this song for me all the time.

My daughter texted me this song. I moved to TN almost 3 yrs ago. I have seen her pretty often but she hasn't been able to break away to come up here, yet. She and her 2 daughters are coming up on 10/18! We share a bond through good times and bad as well as music. She & I had a skip day from school & work and went to Oz Fest in Atlanta. So every band there that day holds a special place in our hearts, but none more than Ozzy! Her eldest daughter, 10 1/2, is learning bass at the School of Rock. She auditioned for their house band, made the cut & is now learning Crazy Train amongst other songs. Music is eternal, as is our bond. The littlest one, loves Ozzy, always has & knows every word to Crazy Train, her favorite long before her sister began learning it. So thank you Ozzy, for all the music you've given to us since I was a child. You will NOT ever be forgotten! ...and, my baby's coming home!

George Beland--Respectfully, the idea that Christians spend eternity in heaven is a modern invention. The bible and the church taught for 1700+ years that believers would live in new bodies on Earth for eternity. That's the point of the physical resurrection of the dead at the end of the age. Cheers.

RobotWookiee - so true. We may go to heaven but we aren't staying there. Earth is humans' home. Heaven is the home of angels, etc. Maybe Yeshua's reference of him preparing a place for us (Jn. 14:2-3) is referring to him & others preparing another earth like planet for us humans to live on.

Just lost my dad in February. We told him its ok to go ahead and see his mom again. Leaving the hospital waiting on valet with my 4 siblings and this song starts playing over the loud speakers...
I miss you, Mamma. It’s been a hard 36 years without you, but your words helped me raise 3 strong productive young men. “A man is someone who takes care of his own, with his own two hands and will only be as good as the word he keeps, from the promises he makes”. I said those same words to my boys when they were growing up and they took them to heart just like I did. I wish you could have held them when they were babies and watched them grow up. I still talk about you to them all the time and they still gather wide eyed to hear the stories I learned from you. I hope you are proud of the job I did with them, because I sure am proud of the job you did with me. I love you Mamma

My step father died ten years ago. This was his favorite song we were going to play it while they were taking the casket out after the funeral. Something happened and when Amazing Grace was supposed to play, in the middle of the funeral, this came on as we all looked around and started smiling we knew he was there with us. Every time I hear this song I think of that moment, and the best man I knew.

I've loved this song since I first heard it. Always loved Ozzy with Sabbath and solo, but the song took on special meaning when I learned that Lemmy was co-writer. Now even more sentimental because we lost Lemmy, and my Mom passed away in March from colon cancer, one day shy of her 84th birthday. I love you and miss you Mom. RIP to you and Lemmy.

I've left my home in Eastern Europe 10 years ago, alone, with next no money, leaving behind poverty, corruption, a very difficult and strained relationship with my family, looking for a better life, and a direction of my own. I barely went home, for no more than 6 weeks in total in 10 years. I've known this song since I was 13, I always thought it was a beautiful song, but only after being gone for so long do I understand it fully. I've made ammends meantime and whilst it was written for Sharon, this song makes me think of my mother and my family and it makes my tear up almost everytime. Every time I go home as I reach the airport I blast this in my headphones. Despite everything, I don't even know whether it's tears of sorrow, happiness or missing one's family, but this song brings it all up at once and makes me drop barriers of strength and endurance I've been building for half of my life.

My dad had a very rough childhood. He lost his dad as an infant. He watched his mom get beaten by multiple men she dated. She died before I was born. As a result of his rough childhood (I presume), my dad was an alcoholic. He was a loving father, but he struggled with alcoholism, which ultimately led to his death 10 years ago. He was only 53. I can remember him playing this song when I was young. When I hear it now it makes me think this song made him think of his mom. He's home with his mom now; in heaven or wherever our spirits go when we pass. Happy birthday dad. I miss you.

My father used to play this before he committed suicide in 2015. We lost his mom two years prior I think it just took a toll. But I can safely he's home now Granny and I'm glad he's with you now. Thank you Ozzy this made me cry but I realized he was just hiding the pain he was in the entire time. Fly high dad

I lost my mom in 2011 when I was just 4 years old and when I heard this song for the first time I knew that I wanted it to be played at my funeral. I want it to be played to let my mom know that I'm on my way to see her. This song will bring me to tears no matter how hard I fight

@@johnallenking5030 r.i.p to your mom. You seem like a tough individual and I respect you for showing emotion not many men these days do that including me. My mom passed away in a car accident and I wish I was there to stop her from going. But I want a six feet under song played at my funeral as a joke then get into the more serious songs like this one.

This was the last song my mom listened to before passing away at 53 years old from cancer. It was her significant others favorite song and it relaxed her enough to be able to go be with him. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

I just lost my dad at the age of 54 on Sept 12 to stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He loved ozzy and he loved his mom and had spent the last 30 years missing her dearly. We played this song per his request(along with "Man in a Box" by NIN lol) at his funeral, I know he is happy to be with his mom again. RIP Dad.

Ozzy has a voice that can always be recognized. One of the greatest ever. This is true Rock and Roll. I wish we still had rock and roll like back in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Today's music is not rock and roll.

I love how this song is so meaningful to so many other people, as it was to me and my mom. This was the first cassette (dont bother counting backward) that I ever owned. I was in 1st grade, and it was in my Easter basket. Definitely inherited Mom's sense of humor. Kinda sad how the lyrics totally foreshadowed my relationship with her. It think it was said best in King of the Hill, "If if's and but's were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas." As a sidenote, how fucking fine is Zakk Wylde, then, now, 100 years from now? He is certainly one of God's Gifts to Humankind. Lord.

Jamey Paul This song isn't about anybody's mother! It's about a controlling, dominant, intimate relationship in which your "mama" (aka Sharon Osbourne) controls your entire life, family and career. In other words...SHHHAAAARRROOOOOOOOOOOOON! All these fake mom tributes don't belong here. Move along.
