If this is really his goodbye song, then he’s definitely going out with a bang. Elton John sings and plays piano on this song, Slash is on guitar, Duff McKagan is on bass, and Chad Smith is on drums.

@Johnny Casserole No. People hate haters. You're a hater and are so far gone from objective and subjective reality, you base your own failures(Which I know you haven't obviously mentioned) in such a way that you formulate this as a cash grab when really, it's just talented people being good at what they do. I am sure you probably have music out there you've made and think it's really good but honestly your friends just don't have the balls to tell you it sucks.

@Johnny Casserole I am not familiar with whatever you claim Ozzy has done. It may or may not be true that he was ruthless financially and very self centered business-wise, but that is no reason to wish eternal dammnation upon him, or his family especially. But you may just be doing this to feel special idk

Ozzy, I know you don’t actually read this, but I’m more proclaiming to the universe. This week I’ve found out that my dad has lymphatic cancer and his doctors said he only has 1-3 years max to live. I’m 22 but by the time I’m 25 it’s almost certain I won’t have a father anymore. Growing up you were his favorite singer and in turn you were mine too. Whenever I hear your songs, I’ll always think of my dad, and this song will always mean a lot to me. I know he’s not gone yet, but he’ll always be there in my heart. He’s had a good life but it’s ending too short. He won’t die an ordinary man. I would have loved to see you in concert here in Milwaukee the last two years at Summerfest but it wasn’t in the universe’s plans since both of your concerts here were canceled. I was going to go with my dad to see you since you’re his favorite. Dear friend, stay safe and stay healthy Ozzy.

Patrick Dougherty I can relate to that. My grandpa passed away from cancer 11 years ago. He wasn’t my real grandpa, my grandma got married to him when my mom was pregnant with me. But I grew up with him and my grandma cause my mom had to go to another country to provide for the family and my education. He basically substituted my dad who I saw once a year for couple of days even though he lived a 2 hour ride from his place far. My grandpa is responsible for moral standards I have both as a human being and a man. He didn’t listen to Ozzy but he actually bought me my first tape player and couple of cassettes he thought I would like. One of them was Ozzy’s “Bark at the Moon” album. That’s where my rock/metal journey began. I was 5 yrs old when he bought me those for my birthday. He’s been gone for 11 years now (I’m 26) and I still miss him a lot. And every time I listen to Ozzy - I think about my granddad. I know the feeling oh so well and I just wanted to say I feel for you. Hold on there buddy and cherish every moment you have with him. Make him feel loved and needed.

These new Ozzy songs, especially this one, are almost hard to watch. Im 53, grew up with Sabbath, Ozzy and that era. Ive seen Ozzy multiple times in concert. On one hand, I love his heavier music. On the other, some of this new stuff is some of the best. BUT, what saddens me is there is a deep undertone to this of saying goodbye. I know OZ has had med issues and all in recent years, and it's well documented that he probably is a medical wonder surviving the substances over the years. And Of course, he is aging as the rest of us. I get all that, I see it and all, but hard to hear someone recording what sounds like goodbye letters. Be well OZ! Thank you for so much great music!!!! Also, the song itself resonates with me deeply. Again, Im 53, health issues, Mom/dad/only brother and my only son are all gone. I struggle with my mortality alot anymore as I had such big dreams and all, and feel Ive achieved so little. So, the song itself speaks to me deeply as well. tear jerker

I don't want Ozzy to die, period. He's no ordinary mortal. The things he's done would have killed lesser men, and have. I started to choke up when they showed his reaction to Randy on screen. It still haunts him and I feel his pain the same as when I heard about it back in the early eighties when I was playing his albums on vinyl. This song, though is his standing in a mirror and saying "Damn it's been a hell of a ride, and I am thankful for every moment". We love him because he's genuine, he's John "Ozzy" Osborne. Titan of Metal.

I’m a grown man in my 30s and this song has me in tears. I was 6 when I heard my first sabbath song and decided to pick up the guitar, I made friends who wore dark shirts and enjoyed Oz. We all wrote Ozzy’s home back when internet was dial up; we had found his residence through att we sent so many letters that the great Ozzy sent us a signed autograph. We started a garage band in the 5th grade. After many ozzfests and other Black Sabbath or Ozzy concerts we still held true to what brought us togeather. 25 years later the band I’m in still has the very same friends that were joined together due to Ozzy. We still are following Ozzy’s every step of the way still playing many Ozzy and Black Sabbath covers. Oz your music did more than inspire it gave me a family I didn’t know I needed at the time, brothers I would’ve never found without your music. No ordinary man could move the masses, and I highly doubt that the name Ozzy will ever be forgotten as long as people like myself and others continue on. This album is full of tear jerkers and for anyone that has the appreciation for the movement Ozzy and others started this album has to be the one we all dreaded to come knowing it will probably be his last.

A year later and I'm still listening to this. Ozzy will NEVER die an ordinary man cuz he's had one of most extraordinary careers ever known in recorded history. Took practically every drug known to man and survived to tell about it, then he cleaned up his act, has amazing amd talented children, a wife who never gave up on him like most wives would if their husbands did half the shit Ozzy did, received multi-platinum albums in his past 54 career in the music business, and he was knighted by the Queen of England herself. He is a living God and is the main reason why I love music to this day. He's definitely different than other metal/hard rock/classic rock artists of his time. He is trying to tell a story and people often misinterpret his message as a dark and Satanic thing when he is probably more religious and more catholic than anyone I know. Fun fact: did you know he and his entire band say a prayer before they go on stage? He even did it while he was with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Wars when he was in Black Sabbath. Definitely don't know of any other metal bands or Singers to do that but him. So yeah, Ozzy is definitely one of, if not, the most extraordinary human beings I have ever seen on the news and on videos. May he go down in history as the greatest musician of all time. He definitely won't die an ordinary man.

He was is and shall always be a definitive moment in my life and he will always have an incredibly special place in my heart as will his entire family. I knew about "Crazy Train" as a child, but nothing else. Then I met my boyfriend and that all changed. The one particular memory that stands out in my mind is when we were coming home from Wacken last year. I was dead asleep in the passenger's seat of the car, and when I finally woke up, it was early morning and "Dreamer" was playing. The highway we were travelling on was completely empty, and there was fog everywhere... it sounds like something from a horror film, but the way that music played while I looked out on the view for some reason made it so beautiful. It is the most distinct memory I have ever had from a song, and I will always remember it. It's funny what memories someone's music can give you.

It's no question he affected his life, he's what made ozzy ozzy, iconic in his own right completely separate from black sabbath. I think he knows that, but I think this shows how much he meant to him outside of music. There's not many times you see Ozzy really hurting, and struggling to hold back tears. Talking about Randy always does though. I'm just glad he hasn't completely ignored his memory like what happens with a lot of bands, and always pays respect. Even if it's just a nod at 3:06

@@jakobwolfe6973 For sure. The scene in Ozzy and Jack's Road Trip where they visit the vault and played the Crazy Train master tape is a great example. When they isolate the solo you can clearly see Ozzy trying very hard to keep it together. Even before they play the tape, when Jack asked if he wanted to hear it, he was like "I don't know. It's Randy Rhoads..." and trailed off. I know he and Sharon do keep in contact with Randy's brother and sister, which I think is pretty awesome (Randy's sister Kathy posts things from time to time on her Instagram page instagram.com/dargmama/ mentioning the Osbournes etc)
