Tommy Aldridge said that the incredible guitar work of Rhoads literally let the drums just fall right in the pocket....this really shows what he meant. The lead guitar literally opens up the space for the drums..especially during the solo. Remarkable.

Nicely done sir! Lee Kerslake would be proud. I got the Diary cassette for Xmas 1981 shortly after it came out. That was my introduction to Ozzy. I was 14. My mother didn’t like the cover pic but she overlooked it and thought it was just a “fad” that I’d get over. She was mistaken. (And I’d like to see a kick bass cam to see your footwork on those fills! Just a thought….) Something tells me you’ve been a drummer for a week or 2…😁

Even tommy aldridge doesn't play the intro right from what the original lee kerslake did when I watched a recent video on tommy. The beginning part does not have 2 bass drums your left foot goes on the hi hat and you stomp the hi hat and get the chick sound to complete the drum fill.
