Thank you for the video Oz, never knew about all the various generations that are out there

Mind you as I said I didn't do any research on whether these are "generations" of the large rucks or merely different variants of the same issue. In general the G.I. ("government issue") is basically an open order that companies can look into and decide whether they want to reverse-auction on it, the company offering the cheapest price gets the contract to produce X amount of items then. That's how there are at least three different "brands" of Molle2 Large Rucks as in "different manufacturers" (that actually produce the same product with the same blueprint, usually). For the Modular Sleep System for example the material / production seems to be more complicated which results in the only company / "brand" I know of who produces these is "Tennier Industries". The four generations of Molle 2 frames actually are different design iterations though, you can find a picture searching for "molle 2 frame generations". Anyways, I'm glad I found out about and hope the snaps/buckles to look out for help you on your quest for a snow-collared large ruck. Regards, oz.

Those slotted fasteners were from a repair kit. Theyre sold for repairing the molle2 system.

Yes, thanks. I even show the kit's NSN number at 18:05m and describe the kit prior to that timestamp. Regards, oz.

I have 3 of these packs. One is very good condition The second has a cracked frame in decent condition. Third one was sold as a repairable pack without the frame. Putting the repairable pack on the cracked frame, I've started to remove excess Mollie webbing and shorting the straps. Thus trying to reduce weigh and streamlining the pack. I'm attempting to make this pack adaptable to the conditions in the brush in Florida, USA. This pack can take a lot of abuse on all field conditions. I'm looking forward to seeing you conduct field tests. With suggestions for modifications.

Hi there, thanks for the nice reply! It may take a few months until I can get back to these backpacks eventually, but I still have my hopes up to get back into modifying these. :)
