P 24 rubber powered model flown at the 2023 AMA Indoor Nats

P-24 is not an official AMA event but it is sometimes flown at indoor contests. The P-24 rules basically require a tissue covered stick model no larger than 24-inches in any dimension and weighing a minimum of 10 grams excluding the weight of the rubber motor. A solid motor stick is required as well as a plastic prop no larger than 7-inches in diameter. There are no limits on the weight of the rubber motor.
I built a P-24 for the 2019 AMA Indoor Nats but it turned out that the P-24 event at that contest was a one-design event and I built my own design. I next attended the AMA Indoor Nats in 2023. They were held in the Kibbie Dome which has a flyable height of around 140 feet. Unfortunately P-24 was not flown as an event at this contest but I finally got to fly my P-24. This video shows part of a trim flight. The model would fly better if I enlarged the circular flight path. The thumbnail picture shows my silver and red P-24 next to my green P-18. The P-24 is quite a bit larger than the P-18.
