@@idaemonplasmo I have to disagree on principle. Doesn't matter how detailed a kit can be, if the person making it isn't able to put it together in a coherent manner and with an advised mind. You have the precision, the dedication and the outlook necessary to take a good kit (like this one) and make it far more than the sum of its parts. I've seen enough models to know that you're one step away from masterpieces. The kind of stuff you'd see in old museums. Also, those "minor" improvements are far more than just improvements. They took the kit from great to chef's kiss. Top work.

I really found your more subtle approach to weathering on this build to be very pleasing to the eye and more realistic. For the under wing formation lights, paint silver, then a clear red/green/blue (whatever color), then the epoxy clear. It will look more like the colored light is under glass. Fantastic stuff as always.

I found myself holding my breath during the sequence where the star decal gets applied on the wing, cut in place, and the off-cut is applied to the separate panel. Really Brian de Palma-tense stuff.
