The Collings Foundation’s TF-51D Mustang (44-84655) “Toulouse Nuts” fires up and takes off on the final thrilling flight of the evening for a lucky passenger! Great sound of the engine start, taxi and takeoff, captured on ultra high definition video by aviation videographer Steve Kauzlarich.

EPIC! Simply EPIC! Remember when the Unlimited Hydrofoils were running those Allisons and the Rolls Royce Merlins? When I was a young boy, growing up in San Diego, we used to look forward, every year, to them coming to Mission Bay. Get four or five of those Unlimiteds out on the bay at full song created a rolling thunder that was heard miles away. Seeing these old warbirds flying at full song and listening to the roar of those V12s is FANTASTIC!

I've flown in that, expensive, but ohmygosh worth it! A rare experience. Mine was first flight of the day and I got to go to hanger for prep and got extra time and access to it as well as a chance to chat with the pilot about the plane as well as see the prep. A cherished experience!
