Pía León, Kjolle, elit Vodka Latin America's Best Female Chef 2018

Pía León, chef-owner of Kjolle in Lima, Peru, has been voted as the 2018 elit Vodka Latin America's Best Female Chef. After 10 years of working with husband Virgilio Martínez at Latin America's 2017 No. 2 restaurant, Central, León has set off on a solo mission of discovery, working with Mater Iniciativa to delve deeper into Peru's rich and unique culinary landscape. Her restaurant, Kjolle, is named after an indigenous flower that grows only at high altitudes.
León's Kjolle serves sensational seasonal dishes made with 100% Peruvian ingredients that are both an exploration and a celebration of her homeland's culinary landscape. León will receive her award at the Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2018 awards ceremony in Bogotá, Colombia, on Tuesday 30th October.
