For anyone who finds fire cables are missing or damaged/frayed: I found that they are exactly the same as bicycle rear brake cables (inners) and Halfords stock them, saves a wait from ordering from fire makers. HTH.

Hi mate, found your channel a couple weeks ago and I'm really enjoying watching your videos. I like how you're filming day to day jobs but also explaining what you're doing, how things work, what the problems are and what causes them, its awesome. I'm currently doing a plumbing course after nearly 10 years of doing it straight out of school in college and then leaving to do other things but I've decided to get back in to it. Keep up the good work!

Regarding the first video/job....I was surprised that the landlord hadn't informed the tenant / or she was ignorant about the difference between an immersion heater operation and the condensing boiler operation.

Was that flue bit from a previous video? Felt like I’ve seen it before😂 or you’ve had the same issue before maybe
@jasonoliver954911 ай бұрын
Love the flue diagram, most boilers but definitely ideal the flue should be I stalled level. Do not raise and flow back to boiler as I had so many problems with this. They have a internal raised ring in the flue to stop it going back. Level your flues guys

Correct if I’m wrong but you set cylinder stat at 55 but you said turn down to 45 if too hot, correct me if I’m wrong but is 55 recommended at minimum for legionella avoidance?

Ah yes. Landlords. Completely ignorant as usual.
@ltdeditions11 ай бұрын
So frustrating. Several people / companies have come by without adressing / fixing the problem. Then in the end you get called in and you not only find the problem, but also fix it and explain to the tennant what they were doing wrong and how to correctly operate their heating system. And then there's only one small thing that has to be replaced and the landlord wants to get several quotes. When will these people learn that paying peanuts gets you monkeys?
