Your videos are awesome only recently started to watch them normally glued to the electricians channels, must of watched 10 plus videos today you have and they are all brilliant thank you for making them very professional. I had to repair my boiler a few years back due to cash flow issues. Basically put my hive on after visiting my mother in hospital got home house was freezing. Went to check the boiler and below it was full of water, had a pin hole in the expansion vessel. Ordered a new one and fitted it powered up the boiler and the glass fuse blew, checked the boiler over the expansion vessel pin hole managed to soak the main fan making that knackered. Ended up buying a second hand boiler that council was replacing for £50 a like for like boiler (Valiant ecomax 824e) changed the fan and then we finally had heating when it was minus 6, also used the old cork gasket as the condition was still fine. Just glad I managed to sort it in the end.

Just caught your video. Fortunately, any idiot can change a thermocouple and if it doesn't solve the problem,as you found it will almost always fail safe. Some times the pilot solenoid lets by, despite the thermocouple doing it's job! This why we have mandatory training and assessment! 4 pm on a Friday percunetary advantage ,the phone did the spelling! In plumbing speak a P*** take! I and most would call it a day! On another tack, I'm trying to get support for an issue that Derek Robins at Tomkat has been experiencing. So far I've not found any support outside his site! My hope is that you and your subscribers will take the time out to view Tomkat, Trolled on utube and support his attempts to raise standards. Tenants always seem to have high expectations, but the bill is picked up by the landlord, funny that!
