Review of the P-Bandai Exclusive MG Prototype Gundam. Build wise its pretty much the same build as the MG RX-78 2.0. Only difference being some minor changes such as the color, backpack, beam saber etc. Really meant for some hard core RX-78 collectors, so unless you are one of them, you are not missing out much.

The RX78N used a slightly different Beam Rifle(according to the manga Mobile Suit Gundam 0079). Also, it didn't have a shield.

Heck Yea! Nice review man. Thanks for posting this one, this kit has been needing a review! I've been trying to find one at a good price just on looks alone. Seeing it in this video makes me want to get the kit even more!

I know it's too late but the skirt emblem going in is for the gimmick of the MG Full Armor RX-78 Gundam, just wanna point that out to those who might wonder about it. hahaha. anyways, nice review, and now I want one of this! I really like the color scheme, don't like the red on the shield though, luckily I have a white spare from the GM Sniper Custom, now all I need is to find this kit! hahaha

Water slides are on a blue paper. You can get them with newer Ver. Ka. kits, P-Bandai or you can buy them separately. Dry transfers are on a clear "piece of plastic" with white paper that should be placed behind them so the stickers won't stick to something. You get them with regular MGs. How to apply dry transfers: 1. Cut the sticker that you want but don't apply too much pressure to other ones on the plastic piece because it can attach to a surface of your table. 2. Take a masking tape or regular clear tape (but before you stick the front of a sticker you should stick that tape to, e.g. clothes a few times so it won't leave glue on plastic) and stick it to the front of a dry transfer, not the back because this is where the sticker is. 3. Place the dry transfer to where you want and stick the tape to keep it in that position. 4. Rub the dry transfer with, e.g. a coin. 5. After that you must very carefully take the tape of and check if the sticker is entirely on the kit. If some parts of it are still on the clear piece of plastic then you should line that part with what is on the kit. Dry transfers, when done properly, look really great but they are extremely easy to screw up. Water slides are easier (at least for me): 1. Get Mark Softer and Mark Setter (or products similar to that) 2. Cut a sticker from a paper. 3. Soak that sticker for about 2-3 seconds in water (it should be warm but not hot). 4. Leave the sticker ona table for a few moments (if a sticker can be moved freely on the paper then it means that it is ready). 5. Apply Mark Setter (or Mark Softer if you want to place the sticker on a curved surface) and then slide the sticker on that place with, e.g. a toothpick. 6. Realign it to where you want and use a cotton swab or a piece of paper towel etc. 7. Leave it to dry. 8. After that I use a little bit of Mark Softer to make sure that the stickers will stay in place and won't come off (if you notice that something is peeling off then you can lift that part carefully and apply Mark Setter again) . 9. Seal them with top coat. I hope that at least some of this will be helpful to you or anyone else because I still am just a beginner (16 kits is nothing when compared to experienced builders).

I was just wondering, wasn't there an old version of this kit that wasn't P-Bandai?? Also, any way you can light up your room more so you can have a lower ISO so there's less grain? Like your reviews, cool to see how you even focus on P-Bandai. That's quite rare to see tbh

you're thinking of the RX-78-3. unit 3 had a 1.0 version before they updated it with the 2.0

Hi Charlie, i am thinking of buying the kit and do have a quick question. Do you still end up with a huge amount of leftovers with this kit or only few (the ones you showed in the vid)?
