the differences are SO subtle. the main thing I notice is that the Moollon sounds SLIGHTLY beefier with more low end, but again, super small difference. Couldn't go wrong with any of these

Great Video! Best overall is the Olinto- even/smooth tone and full mids. The Moollon is next best- nice and open sound, but a bit thin sounding. Then comes the 65- sounded good, but probably suffers from an unexceptional pickup. CBS started machine winding early on and also skimped on wire, losing some tonal richness. Last is the Fender Custom Shop- the quarter sawn neck dampens and takes away warmth and P Bass character.

This video is helpful and you’re playing was great. Thanks for sharing. For me, it’s a tie between the Olinto and the Moollon, but the CS sounds the best with the tone rolled off. I’m surprised at how underwhelmed I was with the vintage Fender.

The differences are really subtle. The Custom Shop sounded shockingly good! The Moollon sounded like it had less output than the rest. I’ve never played one but I heard a Moollon jazz bass once and it had great sustain. The Olinto had a great low end.

The '65 is kind of the benchmark in that that's what La Bella, Moollon and Fender's CS are trying to emulate. That Olinto had a noticeable low end richness to it; perhaps a little deeper than even the '65. I own a Moollon P4 and I love it. The craftsmanship is truly next level. The note sustain is almost shocking. I particularly appreciate the feel of it and that the neck is chunky but not too chunky. It must be super interesting to play all of these side by side, as I am sure they each have their own unique feel to them, as well as tone. I've read that the Olinto necks have some significant girth to them; more so than Moollon. I'd like to hear more about how they compare feel-wise and how they play, now that we've heard them. Thanks for sharing - and wow, what a nice collection of basses!

All 4 basses sounded great, but the 65 really has the best low-end and definition. The Olinto sounded surprisingly close compared to the 65... WOW !! The CS59 had a lot of lowend but not as much definition as the others, but it's a great fat tone ! The moollon definitely had the most brightness and definition. Maybe too much for my taste...The « snap » is because of ebony instead of rosewood. Chill out with all the hype on these basses! ;) I would love to hear another demo with a band mix or at least with drums !

with tone 100% moolon was just somewhat deeper. no tone, fender was softer and close to vintage sound. All so close and all sound good. Seems like some EQ could bring anyone of them to the sound you're looking for. Different strings would also be another factor.

Moollon’s typically sell for $1000-1500 over the price for a new bass. I would say that the opposite is true for CS.
