Maybe PC is in opposition party but we, India, are fortunate to hv such a qualified person.Incidentally, I was once standing next to him when he paid a visit to Siddhivinayak Mandir, Mumbai for darshan 3 years ago! Obviously, I was a bit taken aback to see him standing so closely when I turned my head after darshan. (When I came out of the temple I overheard some one saying "Delhi mein kuch lafda hogaya, isliye Ganpati ka paas bhag ke aaya!) Our country is great,they don't spare anybody when some controversy happens especially, around a politician)

To better our situation some of the things we could do 1. Allocate more budget for research and create jobs there . 2. Change the education model so students feel more empowered once they are out in the market to create self employment, conduct research etc 3. Improve government schools and reduce privatisation to encourage middle and upper middle class to consider them. Private schools should be an alternate option. This will undoubtedly create more jobs and better our economic condition too 4. Change the tax model, increase tax for the rich and reduce tax for the working and lower classes. People slog their ass and work 9 to 12 hours on a salary and you force them to pay taxes while the rich get away with all the money. Our tax system makes poor poorer and rich richer . The answers are all there, there is no point in seeking solutions through these interviews with the intellects who once in power all become greedy and corrupt or become helpless due to the leader in power. I don’t see India changing anytime soon regardless of which party is in power.

Very correct. All benefits are for the rich businessmen beurocrats and politians. Middle class and poor suffer. They slog and no help from the govt. Govt schools and hospitals should be upgraded and people should feel proud in sending their children to govt schools and should prefer govt hospitals. We should have proper concept of money. Govt staff enjoy lot of benefits without any responsibility and accountability. They are given salary rise retrospective also. This is ridiculous when people in private enterprises do not get even normal wage increase. Small farmers farm labourers do not get proper remuneration. Gas and electricity cannot be given free. Connections could be given but from where they would pay for the reccuring expenses. Unless these are rectified and proper money management is there whatever changes the govt is doing will only be palliative . Running the govt should not be left to individuals. Institutions should be made strong and no politian should interfere. All the special powers vested with ministers should be scrapped. Institutions should work as per rules and if they don't then the elected representative should interfere and protect the interest of the citizens. The country should not go by personality cults. After this person who and without this person this country will go to dogs and such fears should not be there. Irrespective of individuals country will keep going. Are we now in such a mode?
