Thompson, because he knew those people and ran in those circles, however I've came to the conclusion the director most likely wasn't him. In one of Paul Bonacci's jailhouse interviews he describes the director of the snuff film as a "short, Italian guy." HST was not Italian and certainly not short. Also, these people would use pseudonyms often as it created plausible deniability if the child victim says it was someone famous, especially if they looked like said person.
