Could you please help me with this, I am trying to find a website or video about W.W. Vogel's quote, and I can't seem to find one. I would like to know where you got that quote from. Thank you if you respond to this.

Call me Will you won't find anything, because he was a family member of mine :) if you want something similar or so, I could look in his letters or memoir and search something, if you want...

war hasn´t changed since 1618. projectile weapons have become more promenent just as artillery has become. new battle formations were implied. the reasons for war have changed, also the goals. newer rifuls wich were faster to reloade or more accurate. line formations, trench warfare, industrialised warfare, the first airfigthers, cavallery has become practically useless. the role of artillery had fundamentally changed. then suddenly the first armored vehicels came who absolutely changed the way the battlefield worked adn changed history. mobile warfare and concentrated tank formations were used, combined arms, radio and integrated air and artillery support, war became more mobile than it ever was especially compared to the firse world war and this only in a few decades. the power constellation of the world changed for ever, again, cols war and a-symetrical warfare chabged the world again. so just to name a few. to say war hasn´t changed is as superficial as saying "storytelling hasn´t changed"

I appreciate your comment, but if this quote is about Warfare, then you would be right. But it speaks about War itself.

***** as I said, the reasons and verry nature of war has changed too. like imperialism for example. I mean no ill definetly not, my critic rather goes against this quote itselve. I made my point, said my oppinion and havn´t been insulted yet, I´m happy.

you know that war is incredible complicated and its not just people killing people. destrction of enemy forces is a strategic componet, but its not the main goal of war. I mean, it really depends on wat your goals are.

Why should we, your arguments are accurate.
