Sorry to say in English, as I read the manga over and over again, it seems that Kageyama is a mix of Atsumu and Oikawa. He can be aggressive like Atsumu (he's been aggressive since meeting Hinata anyway) and he can be collected like Oikawa (4th season reference). So, BJ vs Adlers feels more like Kageyama now VS Kageyama past-self/Hinata. The difference is the quick is faster because Hinata is also more experienced than before. In fact, not many people realize it (if I'm not mistaken, it's only Tsukki and Ukai who realized it) means that the quick is only a bit faster than Kageyama/Hinata's in the past. And in last panel when Kageyama/Hinata against Argentina, it's canonically stated that their quick is way more faster. Most who think that Atsumu is better than Kageyama comes from global fans. It could be because some don't read the manga and only watch the anime which is more eye-catching as in Atsumu's favor. I remember clearly that in manga, Kageyama's aura is as frightening as Atsumu during Karasuno Inarizaki. Therefor, in Japan there's a haikyuu poll and that Kageyama is the 1st pick, the 2nd is Oikawa and the 3rd is Atsumu. In fact Oikawa's and Kageyama's points are so close to each other, but Atsumu is way lower. I wonder why is it like that, and when I see from the creator's view, now I understand. The creator needs "someone" who can toss to Hinata for the sake Hinata VS Kageyama battle. That's where "this setter" come. It doesn't have to be Atsumu. It can be Oikawa or someone else. But, since Atsumu's aggressiveness is as close as Kageyama's, then he is a better pick. That's why Atsumu is titled as Aggressive setter instead of just a setter like Kageyama because that's where he is leaning at. Note that in the last series, neither Oikawa and Atsumu be put in same team as Kageyama? That's because Kageyama can already do both of their styles, so making either of them in the same team as Kageyama is useless. Not to mention, both Oikawa and Atsumu probably yearns to win against Kageyama. It also parallel with Kageyama's grandpa's quote, "The stronger will play the longer." In term of serve, each has their own uniqueness. Such as Atsumu has more weapons, Oikawa's is strongest, while Kageyama's is more accurate. 😊 In term of all-rounder skill, I'd say Kageyama and Oikawa are above Atsumu. I can't give a clear view about Oikawa's improvement because of the time skip. For Atsumu, we don't get to see him receive, block and spike as much as the other two. But, we can see in Kageyama's case, he can do other skill just fine. Pay attention that in BJ vs Adlers, only Kageyama who can react faster towards Atsumu X Hinata's quick. He can read where Atsumu's toss is going (that middle spike), he can also block and receive Atsumu/Hinata's quick (albeit not scoring a point). That alone is showing how he has clear view of the court. Hence, he is called King of the Court (I remember only Kageyama who can visualize the space, I don't know what it is called) I hope everyone realize this, cause it took me reading the manga over and over again to finally understand the hidden messages. Either from the reader view of creator view. 😊
