I usually don't subscribe to the "Only the French/Italian/German orchestras know how to play French/Italian/German music" theory, but I do think Russians bring something unique to Tchaikovsky.

My god thank you for posting this. Used to watch the same video uploaded by somebody else from 2014 until it got removed or archived in around 2018, never really tried looking for re-uploads since but your upload is coming in clutch for my research project preparation right now. This is nostalgic for me from a much different time.
