Wow... What a play... It's insanely good... If you soon have so much hate for a villain, the actor did an excellent job... Ewan McGregor it's astonishing in Iago as Tom Hiddleston is gorgeous in Cassio... This play is heavenly good ❤️🔥 I never cried so much at a play before... That girl's song it's angelic... Oh my God they are so good

Reading and listening to this play for an English class. My first Shakespeare play. The sheer amount of interconnected verbal irony on dispay here from Shakespeare is astounding! Iago is truly a devious and masterful manipulator. The way he's playing all sides for his own trechary is amazing to watch unfold. P.S. This man would definitely have won the Game of Thrones.

Hi, unfortunately it was recorded as a radio play only, but if you are interested, you can watch the interviews with the cast here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJaZonSPZ9R4iNE

@@p-isforpoetry Thank you for the link. I see this was a stage play. I think making it a radio play was perfect -- in some ways filling in the images myself is almost more exciting. The audio was so good and clear, I would think it would have been done in a studio. Do you know if the audio recording was done of an actual performance?

His character, Cassio was overall honourable with men, but he treated Bianca poorly. She deserved better.

He doesn't treat Desdemona so well, and he's rude to Iago ("The Lieutenant shall be saved before the ensign!"). He's haughty with the men, obviously quick to anger. He's an ass generally!

Because Shakespeare is performed dramatically. Also, in a play, the actors are meant to project their voices so that people in the audience can hear them.

Pray thee, which of those lines should take more share of silence than of clamor? Would this meal have been so filling if the portions had not been so great? Alas, quiet must come second course when it is served in death.

And what’s he then that says I play the villain? When this advice is free I give and honest, Probal to thinking and indeed the course To win the Moor again? For ’tis most easy Th’ inclining Desdemona to subdue In any honest suit. She’s framed as fruitful As the free elements: and then for her To win the Moor, were’t to renounce his baptism, All seals and symbols of redeemed sin, His soul is so enfettered to her love That she may make, unmake, do what she list, Even as her appetite shall play the god With his weak function. How am I then a villain To counsel Cassio to this parallel course Directly to his good? Divinity of hell! When devils will the blackest sins put on They do suggest at first with heavenly shows As I do now. For whiles this honest fool Plies Desdemona to repair his fortune, And she for him pleads strongly to the Moor, I’ll pour this pestilence into his ear: That she repeals him for her body’s lust. And by how much she strives to do him good She shall undo her credit with the Moor - So will I turn her virtue into pitch And out of her own goodness make the net That shall enmesh them all.

1965 and 1990 versions and actors were way better. Ewan is nowhere close to Frank or Ian or Kenneth. Could Kelly speak any slower. Tom is the only saving grace. This cast is full of good and fantastic actors but nah, this project is Zzzzzzzzz
