This is the traditional way and the correct way, I must say. My grandmother never uses mixer. We finely chop the saag with a daraanti. We also give some 'aalan' in the saag and then we fry it with the masala. This way saag stays fresh. some people also do not know that it is the stems of leaves that give it taste when it comes to sarson of lhaai.
