Bhavna - (getting worried) On one hand happiness is going to come in the house and on the other hand there is a lot of worry. Daughters-in-law, what should I feed you? After all, what should I give you that will suit your body and I will also be able to arrange for it.
Seema - (speaking forced by circumstances) Mother, why are you getting so worried? Whatever God is feeding you is enough.
Bhavna - (expressing helplessness due to circumstances) Where is it enough? You both elder daughters-in-law are pregnant. And I, the helpless mother-in-law, am not able to give you anything. Now even my sons' work has almost stopped. The wages that my children bring from labour work are all spent on rent, I am helpless. Now there is no food in the house, I don't know what will happen to us?
Naina - (speaking worriedly while coming from behind) You are right mother, our condition is worsening day by day. We neither have good food to eat nor clothes.
Bhavna - (worrying) Now it seems that I will also have to go out of the house and look for some work. If we live like this only on the men of our house, then it is possible that at one time the stove in our house will also stop burning.
Narration - Hearing Bhavna's words, all the five daughters-in-law got worried because there was truth in her words. Till now the stove used to be lit twice in Bhavna's house but for the past few days, food was being cooked only once in her house. Two of the daughters-in-law were pregnant and they too were surviving by eating half their stomachs. The time of the five daughters-in-law was passing in worry and in this way two-four more days had passed.
Preeti - (getting worried and sad) Mother, now even the flour has finished. What will we eat now?
Bhavna - (getting sad) Leave us, I am worried about Seema and Reema.
Naina - (getting worried) You are right mother, I am also worried about my elder sister-in-law.
Bhavna - (getting sad) You five stay here in the house, I will arrange for some food from outside.
Narration - Bhavna left after saying this. She asked for a lot of help from her neighbours.
Bhavna - (showing helplessness) Sister, you are aware of the situation in my house, my two daughters-in-law are pregnant, I have to bring something to eat for them, lend me some money.
Woman 1 - (strutting and taunting) Oh, go away Bhavna ji, you have five sons and still you are begging?
Bhavna - (getting sad) I am not begging sister, I have come to ask for help considering you as mine.
Woman 1 - (strutting) I have nothing. Go away from here. My only son keeps me like the queen of the palace, shame on your five sons. In spite of them, the mother has to beg in front of others.
Bhavna - (getting angry) Don't use your tongue too much sister. It doesn't take long for times to change. And I know that your only son has got a job with the money of his wife's father, otherwise he was the most vagabond boy.
narration - Hearing the things said about her sons, Bhavna did not keep quiet and she also scolded that woman a lot. But this was not the issue. Bhavna had gone out in search of something else but unfortunately no one helped her. That poor lady gave up and wanted to work somewhere but seeing her age no one was giving her work.
Man 1 - Amma look at your age, if I employ you then I will be committing a sin, you go.
narration - Bhavna poor lady wore out her slippers, she used all the strength that she had in her legs but it was of no use, in the end Bhavna returned to her home empty handed.
Seema - (asking with hope) Mother, did you arrange something to eat from somewhere?
Bhavna - (sad) Don't ask daughters-in-law, today it seems I will have to sleep after swallowing my tears.
