平成27年度 世界和太鼓打ち比べコンテスト

平成27年6月20日（土）、21日（日）の両日、長野県岡谷市で全国の和太鼓の打ち手が技を競う「世界和太鼓打ち比べコンテスト」が開催されました。
本番組では、21日の「一人打ちの部（本選）」の入賞者の演奏をお届けします。

この2m打つのはとても難しい。 四尺以上に音が吸い込まれるから一発一瞬で強く打つ必要がある。 が、左右の音量がバラバラになり易く、どうしても利き手ばかりの音が大きくなり、後半は疲労とともにその差は大きくなる。 また、疲労によって型が乱れるとそれが大きな面の前では酷く目立つ。 経験が浅い人はバチがブレブレで音も小さく、リズムもめちゃくちゃになる。

I don't know what it is about hearing these drums that move inside of me except I am part native American. I love to hear drums and flutes other than that is the piano.

What the hell are the drums skinned with, is it an animal skin, it would need to be the size of a bleeding elephant.

The skins are cowhide usually from a Holstein of three or four years of age. I worked for several years in an abattoir removing these skins any you would be surprised how large they can be.

太鼓の淵を叩くコンコンコンという音をあまり取り入れていない、また録音が良くないのか太鼓が大き過ぎるのか、音がバンバンと聞こえる。無法松の映画では丸い音で素朴な音で感激した。

生のようにつたわらないのは当然ですが、私が感じたことは、やはり太鼓が、大きい割には浅い、面(皮)が薄い等に原因が？それにしてもこんなに大きい太鼓では、まるいというかドシーンというか、腹をつく音をだすのはちょっと無理ありです。

肉体美を披露し一生懸命やっているのは良く分かり、さぞかし練習をなされている事と思います。 ただ素人の意見ですが、大きな太鼓を叩けば大きな音が出て迫力はあります。 個人的には打ち手の自己満足・自己陶酔のような気がします。
