Hey guys we just got of the adventure a couple of days ago. Had a great trip and yes the pints from the adventure hotel are great. We had a great lightening show as well and a very smooth 12 night cruise

Wasn’t it great to be on a cruise and be able to order pints! Glad you had a great time storms at say are so different to those on land. Great thing to see an experience so long as it doesn’t stuff up the cruise of course LOL

I loved watching your video we are about to go on the po adventure end of this month - I have a couple of questions- should you take cash for casinos, laundry and on shore tours? Secondly s should you book your through po or wait till you get there ? Thanks in advance
@CandidTourists6 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. We take some cash for Casino but you can also charge to your room and transfer money across the next day to cover the spend. Last time I went to use the laundry they had a token system you need coins for this around $ 3 a wash and $3 a dry on our last trip. This gives you a token to use. The machine was busted when I went to wash so I had to go to Customer service to get a token. Next time I will just grab a token or two at customer service when it isnt busy just in case. If you book P&O shore excursion they are charged to your account. You will need cash or card if booking off the ship with local operators. We dont book with P&O. Local operators are always near port and you can book with them it is usually cheaper. We booked with P&O once to go to Amadee Island as it was the only way to get there. Just note the time for any local excursions. If its a full day make sure they get you back in time. For example at Airlie beach a catamaran gets you back around 5 so I wouldnt be doing that - too close to departure . I like to get back about close to 2hrs before we leave on the ship. Hope that helps.

@@CandidTourists we are heading to Santo, port villa and mystery island - any tour suggestions
@CandidTourists6 ай бұрын
@@KylieKemp-h8r We did a tour to the blue lagoon and waterfalls close to them (Rarafu??) in Port Villa. We also visited the fruit market and went for a walk through town. We paid a driver for the day and it was great. The first time we went to the duty free shop but it was a bit over rated. We have always paid a driver to take us a round it is pretty reasonable and we alway ended throwing in a few extra $$ as we shared with people we met on board. Mystery island is lovely -you can walk around the island, get a massage, shop the market, swim, relax and there are local tour operators on the island if you want to venture a bit more for snorkling etc. Depending upon the weather you have to go to either side of the island for calmer waters. Just be aware there is a strong current in the water. I havent been to Santo so you will have to let me know what it is like :)

We are setting sail on Monday, did you have to wear a mask in the terminal and places around the boat or were they pretty lax?
@CandidTourists Жыл бұрын
Hi There.. we didnt wear a mask in the terminal, when boarding or anywhere whilst on board. They recommend you do when there are large amounts of people but we didnt bother. We had some on hand in case we got sick ourselves. Enjoy your cruise!!

Do you have covid testing to board the ship????
@CandidTourists Жыл бұрын
This was one of the things that we were really unsure of so glad you asked. We had to do a test 24 hours prior to departure according to the P&O app and the steps they provide to get ready for check in on embarkation day. We took photos of our tests alongside watches to prove date time etc. When we got to the terminal we were wasked if we had a test and if it was negative. In our case we had and it was negative. We were not asked to provide photo proof but had it on us regardless. They have messages on flyers in the room and around the ship that if you feel unwell to stay in your room and let staff know. If you happen to be unwell and tell staff you will be quaranteened on board which looked to be deck 5 as they had coffee tables outside the doors which I presume was for placing food trays etc. I have heard that they are reviewing the requirements soon so hopefully we dont have to go through all this nonsense in the future.
