P&O Arcadia Sea-View Cabin Tour & Review. Does this need a refit?

Yes, dated and in need of a refurb but a very spacious cabin and perfectly adequate. We've just booked a balcony cabin on Arcadia for the 16 night, 2026 Eclipse cruise. We were swayed by adults only as August with children didn't appeal and also the cost. Some Eclipse cruises were over twice the price. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the refit. I actually do really like this cabin - I stayed in a balcony while cruising on Arcadia, and was really impressed. I was baffled by those curtains in my cabin too, but I do think they add something to this room type - a nice little touch!

Seaview is spacious! The only negative thought maybe for me would be close proximity to other venues. Is there much noise? Have never tried sea-view but something I would consider.

Our first cabin on Arcadia was in the same position but port side when the ship was about a year old. The cabin decor is just how I remembered, definitely needs a refurb.

We always use the laundry for our gym cloths . Descent size cabin but oh my god massive refit required . Do the Cunard ships have laundries ? Keep on cruising.

On the same cruise, definitely needs a refit we stayed in a balcony room on Egypt deck with 2 other couples and we had the balcony side doors opened so we had 1 continuous balcony, some problems the bathtub didn’t drain properly and the shower hose was broken. All and all tho I thought it was a good cruise. However sitting in a French bay for nearly the whole day was a bit pointless. We could have easily docked in France for a few hours instead.

I agree that it looked quite roomy, which older ships seem to have. My daughter, Michaela, and I would have the twin configuration which creates even more space - optical illusion? And were those pillows as lumpy as they looked? I have been known to pack my own pillow just to be on the safe side! I think those curtains are certainly redundant to requirement, unless that sofa becomes a third bed, but you mentioned they don't close anyway. Cheeky wink for now 😉 . 😊

I can't understand the launderette snobs they probably shop in Wokerose. We did washing about 3 times on a 14 dayer a welcome "free" provision thanks P&O. I followed your advice and came equipped with a small tub of powder. I'll remember the brown vinyl tape dodge if I need to spruce up an aging mirror 👍

I have been on Arcadia the last 2 years. I agree that the layout of your seaview looks awkward. I would prefer couch and desk at the window end, like it is in the aft balconies I have stayed in. Arcadia needs some refurb, definitely. Laundry room useful for tickling-up your shirts for the evening extravaganza.

No, all filmed / edited on phone using iMovie and uploaded directly to KZbin. Thumbnails, music, voiceovers etc all done on phone: no faffing with computers

Hi Jamie, it’s my first ever cruise in June on Arcadia i’m also autistic my biggest fear is that the ship is stuffy i.e hot. Is the ship as a whole air conditioned? I’m talking restaurants, theatre etc get that I can go out to the deck but you can’t always do that 😂 Thanks!

On this ship it was a little variable even though there’s air con - most areas cool enough but I wondered if the AC wasn’t working in the odd place

The whole ship does, just as long as they don’t adopt the cold, plain and boring decor in the public areas. Why is there no colour anywhere? P&O ships, especially the newer ones, just look so clinical and boring imho.
