In this episode, we fly from London Heathrow to Antigua on Virgin Atlantic and meet P&O Arvia in Antigua, where we will be spending 7 nights onboard cruising around the Caribbean.
We show you the boarding Procedure for P&O Arvia, do our muster drill, take you on a tour of our P&O Arvia inside cabin and finish the evening off with a meal in the Main Dining Room.

We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby - the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. The videos are our opinions and experiences while on board - really they are us having fun and brining you along with us!
We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).

Nice one chaps, and looking forward to the rest of your updates. We were on Aurora in December and my good lady wife took her knitting to The Crows Nest a few times to finish off my 1940's style tank top for a bit of chill out time when I sneaked off to Champions Bar to watch the odd World Cup game (we're in our 50's but love going to the Goodwood Revival all dressed up). I ended up renaming "The Crows Nest" to "The Crochet Nest". She was with her sister and I was with her husband so she wasn't a footie widow the few times we were allowed a football game watching permit. 😁👍

We’d actually paid to sit next to each other with Luke having a window seat as he doesn’t like flying much so happier there. They upgraded us and we only noticed getting on the plane when we saw we were in different rows 🤣 it was a good upgrade. Can definitely see advantages of the isle seats 😀

Thank you! From pre pandemic days, yes. Stateroom only serviced once (we prefer it actually), less selection of drinks in the package and on the menus in general. It’s still hard to know if this is the new normal or if they are still temporary, for example the lack of table cloths some mention. But generally speaking with the low prices and the amount of money lines have lost over the years you can also understand why there are cut backs.

Hehe! Yes, it definitely has a warmer feel. Not sure if the table cloths are a permanent change, time will tell. It’s the latest iPhone, a bit of reading suggests turning off HDR, as it’s all been filmed in that, it is too late but we’ll do some testing to see if it changes anything - thanks for the constructive feedback 🙏

Really love your vlogs. Only ever cruised from Southampton, but you made it look so easy, going straight from plane onto coach. Is this how P and O do it now or only this destination and any good tips/names for hotel in London pre cruise please.

Glad you enjoy them! P&O sell their Caribbean and their Med cruises with flights as a whole package, so in most cases they are chartered so are really simple like this. It is the best way to do it, none of the faff etc! We tend to stay near the airport, have done Raddison and Renaissance are ones we would recommend near terminal 2/3 as they have parking, so we leave our car there. When flying from T5, we used Thistle hotel which also has a gate through to the Heathrow PODs, so you can use them to transfer from the hotel to the airport for a small fee.

OMG that is the biggest mistake I have ever made watching this, totally depressed now with post holiday blues, the swim up bar/infinity pool was our favourite place with the most gorgeous bar staff, Censon, Manesh, Joseph to mention a few xx

Our flight was at around 7pm back to Heathrow, with us meeting in the theatre at 4pm for our transfer. Most flights seemed to be in the afternoon.

Im going on p&o arvia next summer what time do the bars an restaurants close

Resultants vary, but most have a last seating time of around 9-9:30. Late night snacks until 1/1:30 if the buffet. Bars also vary, most open until 11, with others later. For example the last shoe in 710 is 12:15 so that’s serving until late. The night club and also pub/casino will be open the latest (1/2am)
