P&O Arvia Caribbean Cruise ..ST Lucia .. Rainforest , Rum Therapy #9

We awoke in the beautiful Caribbean island of Saint Lucia , it had obviously been raining because as we stepped out on to the balcony we were greeted with the sight of two Rainbows . Construction work is still going on at the port but it couldn't spoil the amazing views .
After breakfast we did our customary couple of laps around the promenade deck , where we spotted Virgin Cruises Valiant Lady .
We had a P&O excursion booked today ,a trip to the rainforest where we would be transported high above the tree canopy in an aerial tram . As we disembarked the ship the heavens opened , this was what we were going to experience for most of that morning .
On arrival in the rainforest we went on a 30 minute hike before joining the line to board the aerial tram .What a great experience , a guide is with you all the time . your tram holds eight people plus the guide . You are given lots of information regarding the rainforest , plus you have those amazing views .
On arrival back at the port we had drink in one of the bars , before taking a look at the famous Rum Therapy bar . Which by this time was getting quite lively . A great venue to sit and watch people having a good time , not to mention the Karaoke .
After Sail away we enjoyed a nice meal in the MDR then enjoyed the nights entertainment as we headed to our last destination Barbados

Wow! That was a fantastic ride! How appropriate that it rained. Wish Pearl would have had on better shoes. I was remembering the shoes that got wet and ruined. Loved seeing the double rainbows. Happy Birthday to Joy at 92! Karaoke is so much fun. As usual Pearl was dressed beautifully for the evening. Pearl, you have a great fashion sense. Hope your weather is good, and your grand babies are well. Our weather has gotten warm, and humid, so my son had to put my window ac in. I do not have central air. I'm going to be sad when this trip is over. I enjoy seeing you both, and getting to talk to you. This is my way of traveling now. Stay well!

Hi Rene , how are you ? Hopefully with your A/c now you are feeling okay. We both don’t like the humid weather. We loved doing the rainforest trip it was another highlight of the cruise for us . Being that high up above the tree canopy was amazing. Yes of course it rained but at least Pearl was prepared. Pearl is really pleased and surprised that she gets compliments about her dresses but really appreciates it. All the Grandkids are fine thank you Rene , we look after the youngest one a couple of times a week. So that keeps us busy .Hope your family are all fit and healthy. One more video in this series Rene , Barbados and then flying home . But we are off on our travels again in a few weeks. It’s an older ship but it is going to some nice places that we can hopefully show you. Italy, Montenegro , Croatia, and Corfu . We are off on Azura in a few days, I know it’s an older ship but we liked the Itinerary. The Maleth flight back was delayed 3 hours and was very turbulent. Joy did indeed enjoy her shout out, she's told all of the family (children & grand children about it!).

❤ great video. It brought back wonderful memories of our trip in the gondola over the rainforest canopy in St Lucia. The only difference was that we didn’t have a scantily clad girl serving our rum punch, and we had hot sunshine. The outing does seem to have become very popular now, many more people around

Morning Al , we are at Rhyme time at the moment with the youngest Granddaughter all exciting stuff 😂. We love the Quays as well not so manic as the buffet. To be fair the guide was really quietly spoken, he was showing some wild nutmeg. Also when we were in the Aerial Tram it was Bananas that he was pointing out. We did enjoy watching the Karaoke especially when people think that they can sing ,makes it even more amusing . Hope your Dad and Hazel have a wonderful time on Arcadia , at least the weather has turned nice for them . I think the way time is going so fast September will be here before you know it. Lovely episode, this one had the 4 R’s - Rain, Rainbows, Rainforest & RUM. Loved seeing the aerial tramway excursion, it’s something we wouldn’t have thought of as we always steer towards the boats trips and beaches but it showed if you get away from the standard tours you can see some beautiful and unique things. You did well to get the front seat for great views. The Rum Therapy bar is always carnage in a good way and always fun to see the late pier runners or staggering to the ship 😂 Love Pearl’s Peggy Mitchell impression - wondering now if Pearl is a graduate of RADA drama school? Pearl looked gorgeous as usual in her evening wear. Enjoyed watching as always 😍

Nice video Mum and Dad. Watched in 2 parts (Formula 1 was on). Were the police called to that bar by any chance because it sounded like some songs were murdered on the karaoke.
