We were curious about Arvia, and found your video and channel here in the cruise corner😄. Really nicely put together video. Lots of relevant detail and images of the locations around the ship. Thumbs up from us 👍

Interesting Vlog we've not tried Arvia, but she does look like a lovely ship. We agree with you on the buffet, it was the same on Iona. It looks so similar to Iona, but with subtle difference. Cheers 🍻

Hi, many thanks for the note, we're off on Iona early next year so it will be interesting to see the differences between the two ships. Regards Luci

We really enjoy P&O, had a great time on Iona and soon off on arvia. Its not as brash as many cruise lines and seem to consistently offer great fares and onboard value. We mostly like to chill, read books and tour cities on our cruises, so if you are looking for more stimulation it may not be the ship for you.

We agree totally - we are doing the cruises the opposite way around from you. We have cruised Arvia and doing Iona early next year so I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed Iona too - it will be interesting to see if there are many differences with them being sister ships?

Thanks for the info. Me and the Mrs are going on the Arvia November 23rd. 14 weeks and counting:) Caribbean cruise for 2 weeks. It will be our very first Cruise experience. Could you tell me what the dress code is for men, ie evening time? Can i get into bars and restaurants in black jeans and T shirt for example or do i have to wear Trousers and shirt?.
@CruiseCornerLuciАй бұрын
Apologies for the delayed response, there was such a good variety of bars & restaurants, a couple required a dress code (eg The Crows Nest was no shorts in the evening and tie during formal nights) and others didn’t (like 6th Street diner for example or Brodies) so it all depends on what you’re looking for. Hope this makes some sense and hope you have a fab time in the Caribbean.

I have been on arvia a few times and it is really relaxed, ño shorts but as long as you have a nice top on tie doesn't matter. My father has been on arvia 6 times since last October and has never worn a tie. He just makes sure he has nice trousers and shoes and even a Polo shirt. Happy cruising 🎉

What ship would you suggest? I have only been on arvia. Are they any similar prices too.?

Hi, thanks for the note. It really depends on what you are looking for and budget - and also if you have to holiday in school holidays or not. If you want the mega ships like Royal Caribbean with all their amenities, fairground, water shows etc, these can be on the more expensive side. One of the more cheaper lines is MSC. Now they do have some really beautiful ships, with flumes, arcades etc but their service & food doesn't seem to be up to the other cruise line standards. However a friend of mine is cruising with them soon - 4 day cruise for just £250. We like Arvia as we wanted to relax for a couple of weeks and we have just cruised Sky Princess which I really love - it, like Ariva, doesn't have all the big amenities but just has fabulous food, good entertainment and really good staff. A few of the cruise lines now are doing the short break cruises so before splashing out on a longer holiday, you could always try a mini-break cruise. If you can cruise out of school holidays then you can get some really good deals too. Also make sure you join the free loyalty programmes on each ship as you can get some discounts for this too. Kind regards Luci x

What cruise ship do you like?
@CruiseCornerLuci10 күн бұрын
@@tristancollins3037 Hi, thanks for note. Pre-children (when we had more disposable income lol) Royal Caribbean was our go-to cruise line and we never had a bad cruise with them. I loved Sky Princess and P&O Ariva but these are not so good if you are looking for lots of activities such as rock climbing, ice rinks etc, more for just chilling. MSC Euribia was a lovely ship but food/service was not so good but fantastic flumes, arcades etc. It's so exciting to see all the newer ships come out and they are pushing the boundaries all the time with new activities/entertainment so here's to hopefully more exciting cruising to come!
