For a period of time I had to hold the food bowl or take it out of the holder for him to eat out of it. One day, I just forgot, probably about 4 months later, and now he is fine with it in the holder. Dogs are SO bizarre!

MY DOG DOES THE SAME THING. Not a pug, but she's about the same size as Nala, she goes through weird phases where she sits and barks at her bowl but doesn't eat out of it. We got her a new bowl thinking it was her reflection, but she still refuses to eat out of it and the new bowl absolutely does not show her reflection. We took her to the vet and he said she's completely healthy and she's just picky. So annoying! If she really refuses to eat we put her food on a paper towel. We hate to give in to her but I get worried when she doesn't eat.

Has a bowl droped near nala. It happened to my dog. I had to feed her with a plastic plate. One of the metal bowls dropped near her and know shes scared. Nala knows its safe when u touch it .
