P&O CRUISE SHIPS ARCADIA IONA & VENTURA SOUTHAMPTON DEPARTURES ON 04/05/24

It was a glorious sunny afternoon on Saturday the 4th May 2024 3 P&O Cruise Ships left Southampton for their various cruise destinatons, the 'Iona','Ventura' & the 'Arcadia'.
The 'Iona' left the Ocean Cruise Terminal just before 17:30pm for Stavanger a 7 Night Norwegian Fjords Cruise and as she passed the 'Arcadia' they both exchanged horn salutes with each other.
Following the 'Iona' was the 'Ventura' she left from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at about 18:15pm for La Coruna Spain a 7 Night Spain France & Portugal Cruise and as she passed by 'Arcadia' a horn salute was again heard from town quay.
And lastly it was the Arcadia's turn to leave Southampton's Queen Elizabeth II Cruise Terminal at 20:00pm and she was right on time for a 3 Night short cruise to Zeebrugge Belgium.

Was onboard when Iona left, her horn is very loud but its facing foward so is quiet frim behind. She used her horns lot on the trip and made us jump.

I couldn't agree more Lynne, still nice to capture these three talking to each other and Arcadia had the loudest but poor Iona not that good, even Ventura done well. Regards Steve.

I was on Iona a few weeks back on a cruise to Norway... trust me, her horns are plenty loud up close! Probably sounded quieter that Ventura & Arcadia in your video as they're on the top forward deck of the ship pointing forwards (i.e. away from you). As we left Olden in Norway, we were serenaded us with various songs from the dockside (Captain Wes said it's a regular occurence lol), including Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline... Iona 'sang' along with her horns as we parted ways 😅
