Full cabin tour of one of the Mid Ship "Sheltered Balcony" Cabins.
Just feet above the water, these cabins have great view of marine life, less movement in heavy seas and a balcony you can ist on when it's raining!
Pros:
Quiet
Mid Ship
Great Location...Close to all the amenities on Decks 6, 7 and 8
Very Private
Cons:
Mid Summer sun could be high enough to make balcony shady (Not a problem on this Westbound repositioning Transatlantic in Autumn)
Mid Ship noise from Stabiliser in anything other than calm seas (made a groaning sound!)
Storm door can prevent usage of your balcony in rough seas! (Min was closed for 2.5 days on this cruise!!)

Did you have any noise for level 6 bars above ?

Great question. I was under roughly where Vistas Cafe Bar so yes and no to noise. On the whole it was a quiet cabin but there were a couple of things I could hear, one was the very faint sound of "tap tap tap" as the Baristas were tapping out the coffee grounds, but that was it. More noticeable, and only in choppy seas, was the ships stabiliser, positioned very near this cabin, under the water-line. They work like aircraft Ailerons and pivot to counter the sideways roll. However on Ariva, the Port side one groaned like a Orca Whale, was very noticable and woke me several nights. However it was only rough a few times so most of the time it wasn't out "groaning".
